It is important to us that people who contemplate joining us at ARPOS share the same values and commitment to achieving the best possible result for their team and for client organisations. Beyond the more specific qualities and criteria described below, it is every bit as important that you are comfortable with us as it is that we are with you.
We must like each other as individuals and feel confident that we can work closely and under pressure together;
You will exhibit an alignment with our values and be enthusiastic about the prospect of working with us in building a business.
You will be interested and excited about the nature of consulting work - work that will involve solving problems, changing environments, points of acute pressure and working to distant deadlines;
In addition to the ability to structure problems and work with little or no guidance, you will recognise that occasionally extra hours will be needed to meet a commitment.
People interested in joining us must be able to demonstrate an ability to root out the important issues underlying business problems, including the ability to break a large, unstructured problem into manageable, structured components;
Relate the problem structure to a sensible model of behaviour, or economic framework;
You will recognise the importance of independent corroboration, both for opinion and for data;
You will be imaginative. For example, you will be able to come up with a number of different ways to determine a market size, or to use technology in delivering customer service.

Basic understanding of company structure (relationships between shareholders, directors and managers; and typical organisation structures).
Good team skills and the ability to work well in a group;
Strong communication skills including being a good listener who is able to think about and pick up on undercurrents in a conversation;
Recognition that one of the most critical communication attributes is providing the opportunity for others to express themselves and to listen closely and take an interest in what others have to say;
Flexibility and maturity in interactions with other people, including knowing when to keep a low profile as well as being willing to take control when appropriate;
The basic professional courtesies we look for include such things as timeliness and promptness in responding to others, delivering against commitments, and a business-like presentation and demeanour.
